Device and network requirements


Mac, Windows and Chromebook Requirements

  • Internet access
  • Minimum 4 GB RAM
  • Minimum 2 GB available storage
  • Access to the device's built-in microphone
  • Minimum screen resolution 1024 x 768 pixels
  • Administrator access may be required to install
  • In general, students may be able to improve Music Prodigy practice and performance scores by using headphones

Apple iOS Requirements

  • Internet access
  • Apple iOS 7 or later
    (Apple iPad 1 is not compatible, because iPad 1 is limited to iOS 5)
  • iPhone 4S or later, iPad 2 or later
  • Minimum 2 GB available storage
  • Access to the device's built-in microphone
  • Administrator access may be required to install
  • In general, students may be able to improve Music Prodigy practice and performance scores by using headphones

Firewall, Security Settings

  • Music Prodigy uses an embedded browser (Google Chrome) and does not use Firefox, Internet Explorer or Safari
  • Music Prodigy may require permission to download files of the following types:
    • PDF, OGG, MID, JPG, PNG, XML, WAV, MP3, MUS, SIB, ZIP, GZ, MOV, M4A, M4V
