Katy ISD selects Music Prodigy to accelerate one of the country’s leading music programs.

The Board of Directors of Katy Independent School District, Texas’ second fastest growing school district and 8th largest district, approved Music Prodigy as its district wide music practice and assessment tool during its April 20th meeting. Katy ISD has over 5,000 students in music programs with a growing need from students and teachers to use mobile technology in all music classrooms.

Music Prodigy, makers of the versatile mobile cloud-based music education platform with instantaneous polyphonic pitch recognition that operates on iPhone, iPad, Android devices, Windows, and Mac platforms is pleased to partner with Katy ISD teachers to improve student performance and outcomes.

Deployment of Music Prodigy across the district will begin in during the summer of 2015 through a collaborative effort between the Katy ISD and Music Prodigy teams.

“We are very pleased that Music Prodigy Core will be central to Katy ISD music practice and learning. The Music Prodigy team is looking forward to working with so many award-winning music programs and teachers.” said Harold Lee, CEO of Music Prodigy.

Music Prodigy Core includes access to Music Prodigy Marketplace, where Katy ISD will have access to thousands of music titles, and Music Prodigy Quiz, a music classroom assessment tool that includes hundreds of Texas Music Educators Association (TMEA) pre-authored questions, and offers formative, interim, and summative assessment capabilities and can be used in all music classes from general music through university level.
